What Is Spelt??
You may have never heard of Spelt, but Spelt is One of the Oldest Types of Grains… This grain is packed with nutrients that many other grains do not contain. It is higher in protein and fiber and also may contain significant levels of iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, selenium, niacin, thiamin, vitamin B6, and folic acid. It is primarily grown in other countries, but we are blessed to have the privilege of offering it to you from North America AND not just Spelt, but we go beyond Spelt!

Many consumers do not realize by simply purchasing “Spelt” products, they are NOT all Whole Grain!! This can be very subtle as you think you are purchasing a superior product and you really ARE NOT! Whole Grain Spelt is Dark. Whole Grain Spelt is NOT WHITE or Light!

Sad to say, many bakeries promote Spelt as the only healthy point of their bakery, but what about adding other flour and/or Vital Wheat Gluten? What about Canola Oil being used in their products?? What About Yeast?? What about Sugar?? What About Ascorbic Acid, which is a Preservative and Dough Conditioner?? What miscellaneous NonOrganic ingredients??

This 100% spelt sourdough bread is the best bread I’ve found. Simple healthy ingredients, wonderful flavor and texture. Modern wheat clogs up my respiratory system but the good whole spelt does not do that.
