Our Family’s French Toast Recipe – Two Options

Today we are sharing our family’s secret to making great French Toast!

Well, we have two recipes actually! They are both delicious in their own way! We’d love to hear what you think of them!

The first has chia seeds, which is our favorite. If you can’t have or don’t have chia seeds, try the second one, it is delicious too!!

French Toast #1

  1. Organic Bread of Heaven bread of your choice! Our family loves the sourdough for this! Our cinnamon sourdough makes a special treat too!
  2. Mix the following combination:

3 tbsp flour
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp ground flax
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
2 cups coconut milk

French Toast #2

  1. Organic Bread of Heaven bread of your choice! Again, try the Cinnamon Sourdough for a special treat! Our other sourdough options are delicious for this too!
  2. Mix the following combination:

¼ cup tapioca flour
½ tsp nutritional yeast
1 ½ tsp maple syrup
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
1 c. coconut milk

Simply combine the ingredients for the recipe of your choice into a mixing bowl and mix well! Meanwhile, heat up a skillet or grill with oil (We use coconut oil) Dip each slice into the mixture and cook until evenly browned then flip them and cook them on the other side until evenly browned and slightly crispy! 😊 Delicious!!

Ps. We top ours with either Pure Maple Syrup and a little dab of “butter” or blend berries and maple syrup to make a fruit syrup. 😊
