Looking for a great alternative to corn tortilla chips?
Our family used to love corn tortilla chips with salsa, dip, quacamole… until Mom became allergic to them. So we researched… Corn tortilla chips can be highly processed. Unfortunately according to our research we have found they are not the greatest thing for you!
Talking to our Organic inspector, we learned the most easily contaminated organic food crop is corn. Most blue corn is imported and during that process there was found that during the last few years, unfortunately much sprayed corn was brought in as Organic… Maybe this is another reason for reactions and allergies. This made us even more want to know the source of our foods! (This is also why we use CCOF who is the strictest Organic certifier.) It is so important to know where your food comes from.
We research every ingredient to be sure we are feeding our family and YOU the BEST!!!
So now for the recipe…
It’s quick and simple!
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Cut your tortillas into desired size squares…. (We love using the sourdough tortillas, but any of them will work for this)
Spread them thinly onto a baking sheet.
Bake at 400 for 10-20 minutes or until desired browness.
Let cool for about one hour if bagging them.
These are great dipped in our guacamole or pico de gallo. Check out those recipes when you get a chance!! Delicious!!
Thank you so much for choosing our family’s bakery!! Enjoy!!!!!
